AU-QUASAR hosted the Deep Tech Café, bringing together students, researchers, innovators, and technology professionals for an exchange of ideas around emerging technologies and their real-world possibilities. The initiative created a space for conversations that connected technology, industry experience, research, and communication.

The session featured Sourabh Kumar, Project Lead at Persistent Systems; Pavithra Solai, Independent AI Consultant at Tessera AI Studio; Monika Khanka, Senior Software Engineer at Capgemini; and Veena Prasad, Creative Writer. Drawing from their respective areas of experience, the speakers shared perspectives on how technology is evolving and how it is being applied and communicated across different professional contexts.

The discussions covered Claude Code and AI-assisted development, deployed engineering, AI agents, science communication, and creative writing. The conversations went beyond examining what emerging technologies can do and explored how these technologies are built, applied in practical settings, understood by different audiences, and communicated effectively.

The interaction also enabled participants to consider the relationship between technological development and the people who design, deploy, interpret, and communicate it. By bringing together perspectives from technology and communication, the session encouraged conversations across disciplines and provided students with exposure to developments taking place beyond the classroom.

Deep Tech Café is designed as a monthly technology engagement initiative at AU-QUASAR. Through regular interactions with professionals, researchers, and innovators, the initiative seeks to provide a continuing space for curiosity, exchange of ideas, and meaningful conversations around emerging technology and its applications.

Through initiatives such as the Deep Tech Café, AU-QUASAR continues to encourage engagement between academic learning, research, industry, and emerging areas of technology.
