Industry visits play an important role in helping students connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. As part of this learning approach, students from the Departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering at the Alliance School of Applied Engineering, Alliance University, visited the Festo Manufacturing Plant in Hosur.

The visit provided students with direct exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and contemporary industrial practices. They observed the application of industrial automation, robotics, programmable logic controllers, precision manufacturing, quality assurance systems, and Industry 4.0 processes within a working production environment.

Students also interacted with industry experts and gained insights into modern manufacturing operations, workplace safety standards, and the skills required in the automation and manufacturing sectors. These discussions helped them understand how engineering knowledge is applied across different stages of production and operations.

The visit offered students a clearer view of current industry practices and career opportunities while strengthening the connection between academic learning and practical experience. It reflected Alliance University’s continued focus on experiential learning and industry engagement as part of engineering education.
