Alliance University Signs MoU with ISCT Autodesk to Strengthen Industry Collaboration
02 February, 2026

The Department of Civil Engineering at Alliance University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ISCT Autodesk as part of its efforts to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and support industry-oriented learning. The agreement reflects the department’s commitment to equipping students and faculty with technical knowledge and practical skills that align with current professional requirements.
The MoU has been established with the objective of bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application in Civil Engineering. Through this collaboration, students will gain exposure to industry-standard Autodesk tools and workflows that are widely used in professional practice. This engagement is intended to help students develop technical competence and a clearer understanding of how digital tools are applied in real-world engineering projects.
Under the terms of the agreement, ISCT Autodesk will support the department by organising training programs, hands-on workshops, expert lectures, webinars, and certification courses related to Autodesk software. These initiatives will provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience while learning directly from industry professionals.
Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) will also form an important part of the collaboration. These programs are designed to help faculty members update their technical knowledge and adopt modern software tools within their teaching practices. By integrating industry tools and workflows into the curriculum, the department aims to strengthen the teaching–learning process and ensure that academic content remains relevant to industry developments.
The collaboration also encourages project-based learning by supporting students in undertaking industry-relevant mini and major projects. Such initiatives allow students to apply theoretical concepts in practical scenarios and develop problem-solving skills that are important in professional environments.
The MoU is expected to benefit students by improving their practical skills, design capabilities, and readiness for professional roles. Faculty members will gain opportunities for continuous professional development and exposure to emerging technologies, which can contribute to innovation in academic delivery and curriculum development.
This partnership aligns with Alliance University’s broader vision of promoting experiential learning, outcome-based education, and meaningful engagement with industry. For the Department of Civil Engineering, the collaboration represents an effort to prepare graduates who are technically competent and familiar with industry practices.
The signing of the MoU with ISCT Autodesk marks an important development for the department. The collaboration is expected to support long-term academic and professional value by strengthening technical proficiency, employability, and industry relevance, while also contributing to the continued growth of the department’s academic initiatives.
