Well-being took centre stage at Alliance University as students, faculty, and staff came together for a session focused on mindfulness, movement, and the importance of nurturing both body and mind. The initiative created a calm and reflective space for participants to step away from their regular routines and engage in practices that support balance, focus, and overall wellness.
The session was led by Dr. A. M. Sreedharan, Director, Centre of Excellence in Indian Knowledge Systems, and a yoga practitioner with over 30 years of experience. He guided participants through mindful movements, breathing practices, and relaxation techniques aimed at improving physical vitality, mental clarity, and inner balance.
Through the session, participants were encouraged to understand wellness as an ongoing practice rather than a one-time activity. The exercises helped them experience the value of conscious breathing, gentle movement, and quiet reflection in managing stress and improving everyday well-being.
The active participation of students, faculty, and staff reflected the University's commitment to supporting holistic development across its community. The session also reinforced the importance of self-care, emotional balance, and mindful living in academic and professional spaces.
The program concluded with a sense of renewed energy and reflection, encouraging participants to include mindful practices in their daily lives and continue their journey towards holistic well-being.
