Alliance University hosted the fifth edition of the International School Leaders Summit (ISLS 5.0), bringing together school leaders, educators, academics, and industry professionals from India and abroad for meaningful dialogue on the future of education. The summit created a platform to examine how learning can remain student-focused, relevant, and responsive to changing learner needs.

Held under the theme “Learner-Centric Humanistic Education: Reshaping the Teaching-Learning State of Play,” the summit explored evolving learner expectations, the future of work, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging approaches to teaching and learning.

Dr. Ray Titus, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Alliance University, emphasized the importance of conceptual clarity, adaptability, and purposeful learning. Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro-Chancellor, Alliance University, highlighted the continuing relevance of curiosity, creativity, empathy, integrity, and independent thinking in preparing students for the future. Dr. B. Priestly Shan, Vice Chancellor, Alliance University, spoke about strengthening student experiences through mentorship, collaboration, and sustained industry engagement.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. M. V. Rajeev Gowda, economist, educationist, and public policy expert, who focused on the importance of critical thinking and creativity. He encouraged students to question, analyze, and interpret information in context.

A key highlight was the “Leadership Lens” dialogue, which brought together senior professionals from organizations including SAP, IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, Eightfold, ABB, and Narayana Health. The discussion examined the skills and capabilities that will be increasingly relevant in a changing employment landscape.

The session “Next-Gen Learners: Rethinking Learning Design for Gen Z & Alpha” brought together principals and education leaders from India and abroad to discuss changing learner expectations and how classroom practices and learning environments can evolve to engage the next generation more effectively.

At the valedictory session, Ms. Surekha Shetty, Registrar General, Alliance University, acknowledged the contributions of participating principals, educators, experts, and distinguished guests. Through ISLS 5.0, Alliance University strengthened dialogue between school education, higher education, and industry, while continuing to create platforms for meaningful conversations on learner-centric education, innovation, and humanistic learning.
