The Department of Information Technology, Alliance School of Advanced Computing, Alliance University, conducted a one-day workshop on “Intelligent Computing Systems: Multi-Core Computer Architecture, AI Accelerators & High-Performance Computing.” The program was designed to give students practical exposure to advanced computing technologies and their growing role in industry.

The workshop was led by Dr. John Jose, Head, Centre for Career Development and Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Guwahati. He introduced participants to multi-core architectures, AI accelerators, high-performance computing, emerging technologies, and their real-world applications.

The sessions also explored career pathways, industry expectations, and placement opportunities in advanced computing. These discussions helped students understand the technical skills and areas of knowledge that are increasingly relevant in the evolving technology sector.

A dedicated faculty session focused on teaching pedagogy, technology-enabled learning, and effective classroom engagement, adding an academic development dimension to the program.

The workshop provided students and faculty with an opportunity to engage with current developments in intelligent computing while connecting academic learning with industry and career perspectives.
