Alliance University Conducts Aeromodelling Workshop for Aviation Students

Alliance University conducted a three-day Aeromodelling Workshop for first-year B.Sc. Aviation and BBA Aviation Management students, offering them an opportunity to understand the fundamentals of aircraft design, aerodynamics, construction, and flight operations through hands-on learning.

The workshop introduced students to the principles that govern how an aircraft is designed, built, controlled, and flown. Participants worked with aircraft components, electric propulsion systems, and radio-control systems while learning about stability, control, pre-flight checks, flight testing, and safe operating practices.

Through practical activities, students were able to connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications. The workshop encouraged them to observe how different aircraft components work together and how design choices influence flight performance, control, and safety.

The sessions also promoted teamwork, problem-solving, and technical thinking as students worked collaboratively through different stages of the aeromodelling process. The experience gave them a clearer understanding of how aeromodelling connects with wider applications in UAVs, drones, aerospace research, aircraft design, and pilot training.

The workshop reflected Alliance University’s continued focus on experiential learning by creating opportunities for students to move beyond classroom concepts and engage directly with the principles of aviation through practical application.
