Alliance School of Law Signs MoU with Dhwani Legal Trust to Advance Legal Aid and Rights Awareness
06 May, 2026

Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dhwani Legal Trust to strengthen legal aid delivery, legal literacy, and community outreach initiatives for underserved and vulnerable communities.
Dhwani Legal Trust has been involved in providing legal aid and representation to survivors of gender-based violence, caste-based discrimination, and other forms of systemic abuse. The organisation also works towards promoting rights awareness and legal advocacy through engagement with courts and public institutions.
Through this collaboration, the Legal Services Clinic of Alliance School of Law will work with Dhwani Legal Trust on legal aid camps, socio-legal workshops, conferences, and awareness programmes focused on constitutional rights, access to justice, and contemporary legal developments. The partnership aims to strengthen grassroots legal engagement while creating opportunities for meaningful public service.
As part of the initiative, students associated with the Legal Services Clinic will assist advocates from Dhwani Legal Trust through legal research, drafting, documentation, and supervised client interaction. The collaboration is designed to integrate legal education with practical engagement and community-oriented learning.
The initiative also addresses broader concerns related to socio-economic inequality and the barriers many individuals face in accessing legal institutions. By extending legal services and awareness programmes into communities, the partnership seeks to improve accessibility and support for those affected by poverty, social discrimination, and legal vulnerability.
The MoU reflects Alliance University's continued commitment to legal education that combines academic learning with constitutional values, public engagement, and social responsibility.
