Alliance University organised an industrial visit to FANUC India Pvt. Ltd., Bommasandra, Bengaluru, for students from the Department of Advanced Computing. The visit was designed to provide students with practical exposure to industrial automation, robotics, and modern manufacturing systems.
FANUC is a global company known for its work in factory automation, industrial robots, CNC systems, and intelligent machines used across manufacturing industries. Its Bommasandra facility serves as one of its key operations in India, offering students an opportunity to observe automation technologies in a real industrial setting.
The visit included 40 students, four faculty members, and a representative from the Industry Engagements Department. The session began with a presentation by Mr. Jaiker Neil Fernandez, Deputy Manager – Industry Institute Relations, Business Development, who introduced students to FANUC’s operations, automation solutions, and the role of robotics in manufacturing.
Following the presentation, students were taken on a guided tour of the facility, where they observed industrial robots, automation systems, and manufacturing processes up close. The visit helped connect classroom learning with practical applications and gave students a clearer understanding of how automation supports efficiency, precision, and innovation in industry.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, where students engaged with industry professionals and explored questions related to robotics, automation, and career opportunities in the manufacturing technology sector. The visit reflected Alliance University’s focus on experiential learning and industry engagement, enabling students to gain meaningful exposure beyond the classroom.
