The on-campus rounds began with a welcome address by Dr. B. Priestly Shan, Vice-Chancellor, Alliance University; Dr. V. The Octa-Finals, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final Round were conducted in sequence, with each stage requiring participants to demonstrate legal understanding, clarity of argument, and the ability to respond to questions under judicial scrutiny.
The moot proposition focused on contemporary issues at the intersection of constitutional law, international law, migration governance, and administrative law. Set in the constitutional democracy of Norland, the problem required participants to analyse a factual situation involving cross-border migration, the absence of a formal asylum framework, the operation of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, the use of a digital system known as VIGIL, and the establishment of Humanitarian Processing Zones in Azuria. The proposition raised questions related to fundamental rights, executive authority, and the role of technology in governance.
