Shri. Basavaraj Rayareddy

Shri. Basavaraj Rayareddy is the Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Government of Karnataka. A senior political leader and veteran legislator from Karnataka, he represents the Yelburga Assembly Constituency in Koppal District. With an academic background in B.A. and LL.B. from Karnatak University, Dharwad, Sri Rayareddy has had a distinguished public life spanning several decades. He has served as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly on multiple occasions and as a Member of the 11th Lok Sabha. He has earlier served as the Minister for Housing, and has also served as Economic Advisor to the Chief Minister of Karnataka with Cabinet rank. With his extensive legislative and administrative experience, Sri Basavaraj Rayareddy brings significant expertise to the higher education sector of Karnataka.
