Prof. Sukanya Priyadarsini

Prof. Sukanya Priyadarsini is pursuing her Ph.D. on ‘Animal Personhood’ from NALSAR, Hyderabad. Her inspiration for her thesis stems from her interest in animal laws. Prof. Sukanya holds her bachelor degree in B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from KIIT University, Odisha and has completed her Masters in LLM from NALSAR University with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights. Prof. Priyadarsini has worked in the non-litigation department of a reputed law firm and was involved in drafting of legal documents and preparing legal compliance charts for several multinational corporations.
Prof. Sukanya has been teaching papers like administrative law, family law, jurisprudence, insurance law to name a few. She was instrumental in organizing national seminars, webinars and moot courts at her previous place of employment.
WORKSHOPS
Participated and presented a paper on ‘Necessity for grant of personhood to animals in India’ at NALSAR University, Hyderabad at the Research Methodology Workshop conducted in March,2021.
PARTICIPATIONS
Invited as a speaker on “Personhood in Jurisprudence” by MC Pahade Law College, Aurangabad for the Lecture Series in Jurisprudence, conducted in May, 2021.
CERTIFICATION
Got certificate of Achievement for competition of the certification requirements for Behavior, Motivations & Mentoring Skills by the Certified Behavior & Mentoring Analyst (CBMA) in March, 2021.
