Prof. Sujit Kumar Das

Prof. Sujit Kumar Das is pursuing his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, Assam in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He holds an M.Tech. degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Central Institute of Technology, Assam.

Prof. Das is currently involved in research areas that include health informatics, medical imaging, pattern recognition. He has published several international journal articles in SCI/SCIE, SCOPUS indexed journals of various reputed publishers including Elsevier, Hindawi, Willey. One of his published articles titled “Identifying COVID-19 from chest CT images: a deep convolutional neural networks based approach” indexed in World Health Organization (WHO) - COVID-19 Global Literature on Coronavirus disease repository received more than 50 citations in 2021.

Prof. Das has also worked as a reviewer of journal articles from SCIE/SCOPUS indexed international journals and has presented his research papers in the reputed International Conferences and published book chapters. He has participated and volunteered in organizing various International Conferences, Workshops, and Faculty Development programs.
