Prof. Priyanka Sonowal completed her Bachelor of Arts in History-Spanish from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi and her Bachelor of Laws from Faculty of Law, University of Law. She has completed her LLM degree from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. During her college years, she was a cadet of NCC and also a representative of the North-Eastern Society of the Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. She is UGC NET qualified. She worked as a Trainee Associate at District Court, Tinsukia, Assam under M.S Alley (Senior Advocate) and as a Legal Associate at Strta Consulting Services Private Limited.
Presented a paper on "Domestic Violence during Covid 19 Lockdown in India" at the National E-Seminar on the Gender Studies and Women Empowerment organized by School of Law, Shoolini University, Solan in collaboration with HP State Commission for Women, Himachal Pradesh and paper is published in the book called Women Empowerment (Status and Perspectives) (ISBN No-978-93-85618-99-4)
"Legal & Technical Requirements for Running An E-Commercial Business Enterprise" and presented a paper on "Law Applicable for Online Tutorials" during a competition organized by the Advanced Centre for Research Development & Training in Cyber Laws & Forensics [ACRDTCLF], National Law School of India University, Bangalore. It was adjudged as the "Best Paper" on the theme.
