Ms. Shivangi Dutta
Assistant Professor

Ms. Shivangi Dutta holds a Postgraduate degree in Social Design and a Bachelor's degree in Knitwear Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology Mumbai and Kolkata respectively.
Her professional journey includes a role as a designer at a Kolkata-based Kidswear brand, where she was responsible for the infant wear department. Additionally, Ms. Dutta has collaborated with indie fashion magazines, such as Journey of Objects, serving as a crafts researcher exploring the less documented tribes of India. She has also contributed to the non- profit sector, working alongside organizations like St. Judes India to collaboratively develop alternative pedagogies for special needs students facing terminal illnesses such as paediatric cancer.
Ms. Dutta is also a recipient of the Young Designer Fellowship Grant by UN Women x NIFT for the year 2024, acknowledging her contributions and craft documentation for the cause.
