Dr. Devika P

Dr. Devika P is an Assistant Professor at the Alliance School of Advanced Computing, Alliance University. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Machine Learning from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. She has five years of teaching experience in engineering education.

Her research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Sentiment Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining. Her doctoral research focused on advanced deep learning and transformer-based techniques for sentiment analysis, leading to publications in reputed SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals. She has also presented her research at national and international conferences and actively contributes to research in intelligent computing and data-driven technologies.

Dr. Devika is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. She actively mentors students in research and project development and is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, innovation, and lifelong learning while contributing to high-quality academic and research initiatives.

Her academic projects reflect her interest in advanced computing techniques:

• Mini Project: Developed an Improved Apriori Algorithm for efficient frequent pattern mining, aimed at reducing the time complexity of traditional algorithms.
• Major Project: Designed a Recommendation System for an Online Book Store using an optimized version of the Apriori algorithm, delivering improved performance through reduced database scans.
