Mr. Sumit Kumar is a data science professional with a strong academic and technical foundation. He holds an M.Tech in Data Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (2024) with a CGPA of 7/9, and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Monad University, Hapur (2021), graduating with 77% marks. His academic background is complemented by solid performances in CBSE (XII and X), achieving 79% and 9/10 CGPA, respectively. Sumit possesses a diverse set of technical skills, including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), SQL, Power BI/Alteryx, Advanced Excel, Artificial Intelligence, and Transformer models. He is proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and HTML, and has hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and libraries including Scikit-learn, PyTorch, NLTK, Pandas, and NumPy. His academic projects reflect strong practical experience in data science, including:

• Fraudulent Transaction Detection using ML algorithms like Random Forest, XGBoost, and LightGBM.
• Web Scraping and Text Analysis using Python tools like BeautifulSoup and Regular Expressions.
• Sentiment Analysis of News Articles through text preprocessing and NLP techniques.

In addition, Sumit completed an immersive Machine Learning course with CampusX, deepening his knowledge of algorithms and real-world applications. He has a strong analytical mindset, demonstrated by consistently ranking in the top 2 percentile in NDA exams (cleared twice) and top 6 percentile in AFCAT (cleared seven times) and SSC Prelims. He also cleared the UGC-NET in Computer Science in 2024, showcasing his academic rigor and subject expertise. Sumit combines his technical capabilities with strong soft skills such as analytical thinking, storytelling, and event management, making him a well-rounded and high-potential candidate in the field of data science and analytics.
