Mr. Pasumarthi Kumara Datta

Mr. Pasumarthi Kumara Datta, hailing from a family deeply rooted in Kuchipudi, has dedicated his artistic journey to the aesthetics of movement. He holds a Master's in Performing Arts from the University of Hyderabad (2019). He trained under esteemed Gurus like Pasumarthi Srinivasa Sarma and Prof Jonnalagadda Anuradha. In recognition of his talent, he received the prestigious Sangeetha Nataka Academy's Young Artist Scholarship in 2019.

Kumara Datta recently completed an extensive 40-city tour across the USA with the Kuchipudi Art Academy, founded by the legendary Guru Padma Bhushan Vempati Chinna Satyam garu. This tour, sponsored by the Indian American Friendship Council, showcased the dynamism of Kuchipudi to a wider audience. He has also choreographed numerous pieces, including the notable Nritya Roopaka, "Rudra", Keeravani Jatiswaram, Nandeswara Kouvtvam, Kalki Avirbhavam, Sri Bala Nritya Roopakam, to name a few

Qualified as an Assistant Professor under UGC, Kumara Datta is currently a Kuchipudi Dance Guest Professor at Alliance University in Bangalore. He continues to shape the next generation of dancers, driven by his passion for exploring and revealing the inherent beauty of movement in every facet of dance. His dedication to both performance and pedagogy marks him as a significant emerging artist in the world of Kuchipudi.
