Mr. Jaimin Makwana

Assistant Professor

Alliance School of Design

Mr. Jaimin is a transdisciplinary design practitioner, entrepreneur and multimedia artist working under the pet name Chaotic Symmetry. His practice spans industrial design, speculative futures, and human-centred innovation, integrating design anthropology, behavioral psychology, and systems thinking into both applied and critical design contexts.

His professional career began as a Design Researcher at NID and Digital product designer, engaging with UI/UX, interactive design, and human-computer interfaces. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jaimin co-founded a service design studio, where they played a role in delivering experience design (UI/UX), communication design (branding, packaging, and social media strategy), New Product Development (NPD), and Business Design across diverse industry verticals.

Prior to joining Alliance University, Jaimin has been the founder and Director of Technocene Humane Extensions (T.H.E.)  Research & Development Company, a design-led enterprise with a vision of creating Pragmatic Utopias.

His research interests include Social Justice, Auto-Ethnography, Design Anthropology, Cognitive & Behavioral Sciences, and the Ethical Integration if Artificial Intelligence in Emerging Mundane  Sociotechnical Ecosystems. Through a reflexive, future-oriented design approach, Jaimin’s work aims to bridge speculative inquiry with real-world interventions, fostering transformative, systemic, and inclusive design solutions.
