G. Lenin Babu is a distinguished multidisciplinary artist, design educator, and researcher whose professional trajectory spans the domains of fine arts, visual communication, and applied design across diverse industries. Rooted in foundational training in painting and visual storytelling, his career has evolved into an expansive engagement with academia, creative sectors, and cultural heritage documentation. He holds both a Bachelor\'s and Master\'s degree in Fine Arts and has recently submitted his doctoral dissertation at Lovely Professional University. His Ph.D. research focuses on the iconography and historical significance of Hero Stones (Viragals) in Andhra Pradesh. Babu brings to his academic and professional practice over 16 years of experience. His industry roles have included Art Director, UI Designer, and Visualizer, with contributions to notable projects such as Sholay and Kochadaiiyaan in the gaming domain, as well as initiatives in UI/UX, branding, and visual documentation. These experiences inform his pedagogical leadership and curriculum development in contemporary design education. As a published scholar and visual documentarian, his academic contributions include the co-authored book Ahobilam: The Sacred Abode of Nava Narasimha (2021). His research has been disseminated through SCOPUS and UGC-indexed journals, and he has presented at numerous international conferences on topics ranging from temple iconography to the heritage of indigenous crafts. His research practice is further enriched by over 30 published patents/ design registration, reflecting his ongoing commitment to design innovation and applied problem-solving in material and visual cultures. Babu’s creative engagements include national and international exhibitions, collaborative projects with institutions like the IGNCA, and state-supported cultural initiatives. His teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that the design process is more critical than immediate outcomes. By enabling students to internalize and practice systematic, inquiry-driven approaches, he asserts that meaningful and sustainable results will naturally follow.
