Dr. Swastika Banerjee

Dr. Swastika Banerjee, an Assistant Professor of Biology in the Department of Sciences, obtained her Doctorate in Botany from The University of Burdwan in 2021. Her thesis, "Phytochemical profile and in vitro potential of Buchanania lanzan Spreng," was the subject of her research. Additionally, she obtained her MSc in Botany from the aforementioned university in 2011. Dr. Banerjee’s research interest lies on plant tissue culture and plant biotechnology, phytochemistry, analytical chemistry of plant metabolites, genetics and cytology. Her extensive teaching experience spanning over five years at multiple institutions endows her with an abundance of knowledge and a steadfast commitment to cultivating in students a more profound comprehension of biological sciences.
