Dr. Shamanth Shanmuga Prasad

Dr. Shamanth Shanmuga Prasad is a results-driven leader, technology innovator, and multi-domain engineering expert with over a decade of experience in industrial product development, research, and cross-functional team leadership. His expertise lies in system configuration, control systems, and data acquisition subsystems for industrial applications, with deep knowledge spanning software, hardware, actuators, drives, and technical documentation.

He currently holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Robotics) from the Korea National University of Transportation, South Korea, where he led cutting-edge research in human-centered robotics, focusing on medical robotic systems, human-robot interaction, and gait rehabilitation. His work has been supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and has been presented at various international platforms.

Prior to this, Dr. Shamanth served as Chief Technology Officer at Casting and Alloytech, where he managed strategic industrial automation projects for major automotive OEMs such as Toyota, Ford, and Yamaha, and contributed to defense applications including the AGNI-3 missile program. He was also the Founder & CEO of Oscki Labs, an R&D hub focused on robotics, automation, and product innovation, where he established several industry-academia collaborations and spearheaded student upskilling initiatives.

His key R&D contributions include the development of autonomous special-purpose machines (SPMs), digital twin technologies, robotic coffee machines, and advanced robotic platforms for medical rehabilitation. He has also played a significant role in creating precision casting solutions for defense and automotive sectors.

Through "Project Envision," he has led the establishment of multidisciplinary university innovation labs and conducted extensive training programs in emerging technologies such as IoT, UAVs, robotics, 3D printing, and AI, promoting an innovation-driven ecosystem across academic institutions.

Dr. Shamanth holds an M.Tech in Sensor System Technology from VIT University and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Christ University, Bengaluru.
