Dr. Rantheesh J

Dr. Rantheesh J. is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering, with specialized expertise in polymer composites, natural fiber–reinforced materials, and sustainable engineering solutions. His research primarily focuses on the characterization of micro- and nano-scale fillers, hybridization of natural fibers, and the effective utilization of industrial waste as fillers in polymer composites to enhance mechanical and thermal performance.

Dr. Rantheesh completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai (2024). His doctoral research, titled “Comprehensive Characterization and Utilisation of Novel Industrial Waste-Based Cellulosic Micro-Fillers Reinforced Hybrid Polymer Composites,” reflects his strong commitment to sustainable materials research and circular economy principles. He also holds a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering from Anna University (2013) and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala (2010).

He has published five research articles in reputed SCIE-indexed, peer-reviewed journals, with four publications as first author, demonstrating his capability for independent research and scholarly contribution. His current research interests include mechanical and thermal property evaluation of natural fiber–reinforced polymer composites, fiber hybridization strategies, and the incorporation of industrial waste materials as functional fillers.

Dr. Rantheesh brings over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He began his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Gurudeva Institute of Science and Technology, Kottayam (2013–2017), followed by his tenure at Mahaguru Institute of Technology, Alappuzha (2017–2020). He subsequently served as a Research Scholar at Anna University (2020–2024), where he was actively engaged in advanced materials research. Most recently, he served as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mahaguru Institute of Technology, Pallickal, Kayamkulam, Alappuzha, Kerala.

In addition to his academic and research responsibilities, Dr. Rantheesh has held several key administrative roles, including Admission Coordinator, Tech-Fest Coordinator, NSS Programme Officer, and Department Coordinator. Through these roles, he has contributed significantly to student development, institutional outreach, and academic governance.

Known for his collaborative approach, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills, Dr. Rantheesh J. continues to actively engage in research, teaching, and leadership, contributing to the advancement of sustainable materials engineering and quality technical education.
