Dr. Radhika Chandankere

Dr. Radhika Chandankere holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing, China with a specialization in Environmental Biotechnology. She received her M.Tech. degree in Industrial Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surathkal. She has previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at IISc, Bengaluru; Concordia University, Canada and Jiangsu University, China

Her research expertise includes multidisciplinary research involving microbial secondary metabolites such as synthesis, characterization of silver nanoparticles and surface-active compounds (biosurfactants) for environmental and biomedical applications. She has received prestigious fellowships such as the Dr. D.S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowship from University Grant Commission (UGC), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Canada and Jiangsu Provinces fellowship, China.

Dr. Radhika has various research articles published in international journals. She has attended several national and international conferences. Additionally, she aims to investigate the pathways of enhanced production of microbial exopolysaccharides to develop a sustainable solution for various food and environmental applications.
