Dr. Prabhat Thakur

Dr. Prabhat Thakur is an accomplished academician and researcher specializing in next-generation wireless communication systems, with a particular focus on 5G/6G technologies, cognitive radio networks, and connected environments in Industry 4.0.
He earned his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jaypee University of Information Technology, India, and completed Post-Doctoral research at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, focusing on spectrally efficient designs for next-generation connected environments. His research has been supported by competitive fellowships from the URC/FRC and recognized as a Y-Rated Promising Young Researcher by the National Research Foundation (NRF), South Africa.
With over a decade of academic and research experience, Dr. Thakur has worked as Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Technology-Pune, Chandigarh University, and Gulzar Group of Institutes as-well-as contributed to a research project sponsored by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as a Research Fellow. Dr. Thakur also associated as a Senior Research Associate (Visiting Researcher) with the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Dr. Thakur has received several accolades, including the NRF Incentive Funding for Rated Researcher Grant, ISRO Research Fellowship, Best Paper Awards at IEEE ICIIP-2019 and WECON-2015. He also plays an active role in policy development as a member of the 5G Working Groups under Department of Telecommunication and holds the status of IEEE Senior Member.
Beyond academics, Dr. Thakur remains committed to advancing research, mentoring emerging scholars, and contributing to the evolution of global wireless communication systems.
