Dr. Nishant Tripathi

Dr. Nishant Tripathi is an academician, researcher, and academic administrator with more than sixteen years of experience in higher education across teaching, research, and institutional development. Prior to joining Alliance University, a Post-Doctoral Researcher from Lincoln University College, Malaysia, and held senior academic and leadership roles at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, including Director – Centre of Excellence for Networking and High-Performance Computing and Senior Faculty in CSE- Cyber Physical Systems. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Wireless Communication with specialization in Wireless Sensor Networks from Lovely Professional University; completed his M.Tech in Digital Communication (Image Processing) and B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His academic background reflects a strong foundation in communication systems, intelligent networking, and emerging computing paradigms.
Dr. Tripathi’s academic and research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Cyber Physical Systems, Cloud and Edge Computing, Image Processing, Intelligent Systems, and Beyond-5G/6G communication networks. He has consistently emphasized research-driven teaching practices and contributed to curriculum design aligned with outcome-based education and accreditation frameworks. His research output includes more than 45 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, conferences, and edited volumes, including Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed publications. He has authored three academic books and holds two published patents. His research work primarily focused on energy-efficient clustering protocols, cooperative communication models, intelligent routing strategies, and secure cyber-physical architectures.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Tripathi previously undertook several academic administrative responsibilities such as Operational Head – IQAC and Research, Program Coordinator, ERP Coordinator, and member of NBA, NAAC, and NIRF committees. He was actively involved in academic audits, accreditation activities, faculty development programs, and institutional quality assurance processes and curriculum developments. He has supervised more than 100 undergraduate and postgraduate student group projects and actively mentored students and early-career researchers. His academic engagements also included serving as reviewer, ATAL FDP Speaker, session chair, and organizing committee member for various international conferences and scholarly events.
