Dr. Jayaraman Krishnaswamy

Professor

Alliance School of Business

Prof. K. Jayaraman brings over 38 years of academic experience in Management and Statistics and currently serves as Professor of Operations Management at Alliance School of Business, Alliance University, Bengaluru. His core expertise lies in Quantitative Research Methods, with research interests spanning Total Quality Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Service Innovation, Tourism, and Transportation. Recognized for academic excellence, he has received the Best Teacher Award and Outstanding Research Scholar title for eight consecutive years across universities in India and Malaysia, including Universiti Sains Malaysia and Taylor’s University. Prof. Jayaraman has authored more than 140 research articles, with 80% indexed in ISI/Scopus journals. He has successfully supervised 13 Ph.D. Scholars and 2 DBA Scholars and led eight research grant projects—four as lead researcher and four as co-researcher. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Sanggar Sanjung Award (2012) from Universiti Sains Malaysia for his journal article publications. His scholarly work is reflected in his Google Scholar profile, which records 4,680+ citations and an h10-index of 52.

Beyond academia, he has provided consultancy to renowned organizations such as WHO, Royal Selangor, e-Merk, Airtel, and Careers India. His quality assurance and planning expertise has supported firms like Ford, Intel, Motorola, ICICI, and Office Tiger. A certified trainer in Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt and Champions) and TQM, he has trained professionals from sectors including education, healthcare, IT, banking, and manufacturing. He is also highly skilled in statistical analysis, conceptualization of framework, business model building, forecasting, and the use of advanced data analysis tools. Prof. Jayaraman has held several administrative positions, including Program Manager for Communications & Marketing at Universiti Sains Malaysia and Senate Member at Taylor’s University. He served as Editor-in-Chief of Taylor’s Business Review and is on editorial boards of several reputed journals. As a Visiting Professor, he has lectured at The University of Newcastle (Australia), Chung-Ang University (South Korea), Nuremberg University (Germany), Yessenov University (Kazakhstan), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), and University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka). A sought-after speaker and trainer, he regularly conducts workshops on Research Methodology, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), Multivariate Regression Analysis, Tips for Scopus Journal article publications, and Lean Six Sigma, integrating theory with real-world applications for academia and industry alike.
