Dr. Anshul Sharma

Dr. Anshul Sharma is a seasoned academician and administrator with over 13 years of experience in higher education, specializing in academic leadership, curriculum development, and quality assurance. He previously served as the Associate Dean – Academic Affairs at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, where he also held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Dr. Sharma has a strong track record of aligning institutional academic frameworks with national education reforms, particularly the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, UGC’s National Credit Framework (NCRF), and National Higher Education Qualification Framework (NHEQF). At Galgotias University, he has led major curriculum revisions focused on enhancing industry-relevant employability skills, introduced innovative assessment models that account for experiential learning, and standardized academic documentation to meet accreditation standards.
Dr. Sharma also served as Assistant Dean – Academic Affairs at Chandigarh University, where he played a pivotal role in steering ABET and NBA accreditations for multiple engineering programs. His contributions also included leading institutional events such as TechInvent, coordinating Smart India Hackathon (SIH) activities, and serving as a member of the Board of Studies (B.O.S.) for the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
In the academic space, Dr. Sharma has taught a wide range of subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Analog and Digital Electronics, Signal Processing, Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, Disruptive Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things. He brings an interdisciplinary teaching approach that integrates traditional electronics with emerging technologies.
His research interests lie in Wireless Sensor Networks, with his Ph.D. work focusing on fire detection and growth modeling for wildfire management. He earned his doctorate from Chandigarh University, following his M.E. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and B.E. from Punjab Technical University.
Dr. Sharma has also been instrumental in establishing advanced facilities and learning ecosystems, including:
- A state-of-the-art AI Lab and an IoT Lab with remote access at Chandigarh University
- A Robotics Club and a Repair & Maintenance Center to support technical learning and services
- A Project Archive to preserve and showcase exemplary student work
- Practicum spaces at Galgotias University for hands-on skill development
Known for his exceptional communication and leadership abilities, Dr. Sharma continues to mentor students and faculty while contributing strategically to academic excellence and innovation in higher education.
