Dr. Voicu Ion Sucala, holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania and another Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He has also attended Teaching and Learning Studio workshop at d.school, Stanford University. He is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy.

Dr. Sucala’s research interests are focused on modelling, simulation, digital twinning and optimisation of manufacturing processes, technology innovation and entrepreneurship, industrial organisation management, and engineering education. He is a member of the Engineering Management group and the lead of Exeter Digital Enterprise Systems (ExDES) laboratory.
