Students of Alliance School of Law, took up “To Study Mid – Day Meal Policy and its Implementation under Right to Education Act, at Anekal Public School, on 24th of September, 2019, which was completed explicitly by Praachi Nalawade, Aditi Sadhwani, Aditya Sharma, Ajay Bharathi, and Ajoy J. Tharakan. For the purpose of completion of the project, both doctrinal and non – doctrinal methods of research have been applied. The main purpose of carrying out this project was to closely examine about the food quality supplied by the Anekal Public School to their students in the mid - day meal scheme. This school is located within 7 km radius from Alliance University, situated in Anekal, Bangalore. It was observed that the food which was being supplied in the school generally consisted of rice, dal, curry, bisibele bhath, kesar, etc., and breakfast generally consisted of milk, which is of high nutritional value. The students at the school were very much contented with the food which was being supplied to them.

The students also conducted this research in order to identify whether the mid – day meals are enhancing the level of education to the pupils of Anekal Public School. The project was of great outcome when the students had an interactive communication with the pupils of the school, and in this process, the students also learned about the daily habits and food routines of these pupils. As the mid- day meal scheme is a school meal programme of the Government of India which is designed for a better nutritional value for the primary school - going children, the students of Alliance University thought of undertaking this research in order to examine whether such mid – day meal schemes are being carried out by the government in a proper manner or not. The students of Alliance University also approached towards certain remedial measures for the better implementation of the Right to Education, keeping focus on the Right to Health of an individual.

It was encouraging to note that Mid-day meal scheme is efficiently implemented in the school survey. 95% of the children liked the food and were happy attending the school.  Students were energetic, enthusiastic and healthy actively participating in games like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho.

Students understood the policy and its implementation and how it supports the implementation of Right to Education.
