On 18th of November 2021, Under the Guidance of Prof. Shreshth Bhatnagar (Faculty In-Charge of AULSC, Professor, Alliance University) the members of the of Alliance University Legal Aid Services (AULSC) visited the Anekal Police Station and the Sipani Seva Sadan with the main objective to help people who fail to exercise their rights using law and the legal system of the country.

Therefore, keeping this objective in mind, the members felt the need of providing awareness about the free legal aid services provided by the AULSC. Approaching the officials of Anekal police station and the members Sipani Seva Sadan, the members of AULSC interacted with them.

Visit to Anekal Police Station

  • Police officials were informed about the AULSC and their active participation and interest in aiding
  • The police officials posted the AULSC pamphlet in their notice board and assured to contact incase if someone needs legal
  • The police official spoke about the ethics of a lawyer and the harmonious dichotomy between them for bringing justice to the
  • The officials informed the members about the Judges camps in the month of December and that they will connect to AULSC for the
  • The officials informed that they would contact other NGO’s actively working in their Anekal jurisdiction about the AULSC so that the needy can connect to the center.

 

Visit to Sipani Seva Sadan

  • Members visited the Sipani Seva Sadan, located in Adisonhatti Village near Marsur gate. The home is exclusive for senior citizens and specially abled More than 300 persons were residing at home, and it had been established before 10 years.
  • The members of the AUSLC had contributed equally and provided them with 50kg rice, 20kg atta, 5kg of dal and 10kg of sugar.
  • The members spoke with the Manager Aruna and received the further requirement details for essentials.
  • The members interacted with few members of the home and heard about the accidental compensation received by the specially abled.
  • The members also had an interaction with the Head Nurse Ms. Vijayalakshmi to hear about the medical claims and the governmental assistance received by

 

The visit concluded and provided a new experience for all the members who were satisfied knowing that they were making a little difference towards weaker sections of the society.
