Alliance University is a Private University established in Karnataka State by Act No.34 of the year 2010, recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Alliance reimagines the idea of the University by creating a community that leads the charge against the complex challenges of the 21st century.
The University conceives research to be the essence of all teaching and learning practices. A unity between research and teaching is promoted to extend the frontiers of knowledge in order to solve real-world problems at the local, national, and global scale. For this purpose, the University seeks to be the nerve centre of interaction between the industry, the government, the civil society, and the community at large.
In times when technological and social change is transforming the very idea of employability, the University embraces the increasing diversity of specialisations while retaining the impulse to unify all knowledge.
A designed convergence of the business, engineering, law and liberal arts units precipitates trans-disciplinarity as the core academic philosophy. Freely working across divergent streams of knowledge like psychology and data science, technology and law, physics and philosophy or businesses and rhetoric, trans-disciplinarity nurtures a dynamic foundation for the spirit of collaboration, inquiry, and enterprise.
The Combustion Institute - Indian Section (CIIS) is affiliated with its parent international body, The Combustion Institute, Pittsburgh, USA, and functions as a professional registered organization dedicated to advancing research and collaboration in the field of combustion science and engineering.
The activities of CIIS commenced in 1974 with the organization of the National Symposium on Combustion at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Since then, this initiative has evolved into a biennial National Conference, providing a vibrant platform for engineers, scientists, and researchers working in the domains of Internal Combustion (IC) Engines and Combustion to present their research findings, exchange ideas, and foster academic-industry collaboration.
The 27th National Conference on Internal Combustion Engine and Combustion (NCICEC) was successfully hosted by Vellore Institute of Technology from December 11 - 13, 2021. Building on the success and growing global participation, the conference has now expanded into an international platform, titled the International Conference on IC Engine, Propulsion, and Combustion (ICICEPC).
The inaugural edition, ICICEPC 1.0, was organized by Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, marking a significant milestone in broadening the conference’s international reach and interdisciplinary engagement.
Continuing this legacy, ICICEPC 2.0 is being organized by Alliance University, Bengaluru, India, under the aegis of The Combustion Institute - Indian Section, bringing together leading researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and scholars from across the globe to deliberate on emerging advancements in IC engines, propulsion technologies, and combustion science.
At ICICEPC 2026, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All authors, reviewers, and editors involved in the publication process are expected to adhere to the following principles
Responsibilities of Authors: Authors are expected to present original research that has not been published elsewhere. All data, methods, and findings should be accurately reported, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Authors must properly acknowledge the contributions of others, including citing relevant work. Plagiarism, in any form, is unacceptable and will result in the rejection of the submitted paper. Furthermore, authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their work. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple conferences or journals simultaneously is considered unethical and is strictly prohibited.
Responsibilities of Reviewers: Reviewers play a critical role in the peer review process, and they are expected to provide fair, objective, and constructive feedback on submitted manuscripts. They should evaluate the work based on its intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review and must not use information obtained during the peer review process for personal gain. Any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed to the editorial board, and reviewers should recuse themselves from the review process if they feel unable to provide an impartial evaluation.
Responsibilities of the Editorial Board: The editorial board is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the publication process. They should make decisions on submissions based solely on the academic merit of the work and its relevance to the conference's scope. The editorial board must ensure that the review process is conducted fairly, confidentially, and without bias. They are also responsible for identifying and addressing any ethical issues that may arise, such as suspected plagiarism, data manipulation, or conflicts of interest. The board is committed to maintaining transparency throughout the publication process and will take appropriate action in cases of malpractice, which may include rejecting manuscripts, issuing retractions, or reporting misconduct to the authors' institutions.
Handling Ethical Misconduct: ICICEPC 2026 takes ethical misconduct seriously and has established procedures to address such issues. If unethical behavior is suspected, the editorial board will investigate the matter thoroughly. If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include the rejection of the manuscript, notify the authors' institutions, and ban the authors from future participation in the conference. All investigations and actions will be conducted in accordance with the principles of fairness, confidentiality, and transparency.
Plagiarism Prevention: To maintain the integrity of the conference proceedings, all submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using specialized detection software. Manuscripts found to have a similarity index exceeding 10% will be scrutinized, and authors may be asked to revise or provide explanations for the overlaps. Instances of confirmed plagiarism will lead to the rejection of the manuscript and may result in further disciplinary actions.
Peer Review Process: Each submitted manuscript will receive a unique paper id. The manuscripts will be initially screened to check for the conference scope, plagiarism, and originality. All the submitted manuscripts will be sent for technical peer review process, and the corresponding author will be notified of the outcome of the review process. ICICEPC 2026 adopts a single blind peer review process. If reviewers recommended further improvements in the manuscript, the manuscript will be sent back to the corresponding author, and the revised version of the manuscript shall be re-submitted to the reviewers. The final decision on the manuscript will be announced after the third round of evaluation by the conference committee.
