Alliance School of Business welcomed the Master of Business Administration, July 2012-14 Batch of students to Alliance School of Business, Alliance University. The Batch was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. Madhukar Angur in the presence of faculty and administrators of Alliance School of Business, on July 5, 2012. In his inaugural address, Dr. Angur introduced the scope and dimensions of management education in the global context, while dwelling upon the growing need for professionally trained management professionals in global corporations today. The Hon’ble Chancellor presented the vision and the mission of the University, while also sharing with the new batch the plans of the University to establish newer academic units to further opportunities for society at large in other areas of higher education. Dr. Angur exhorted the students to nurture and imbibe the great learning from thought leadership in management and to discover new research paradigms for themselves. Dr. Angur stressed upon the role of the business manager today and the growing significance of ethics and social responsibility—not only in measuring managerial conduct—but also its importance in business decision-making. The Hon’ble Chancellor concluded the inaugural address to the MBA July 2012-14 Batch of students by urging them to look beyond confines, and to introspect on how they can emerge as role models and leaders with great and noble aspirations to serve wider stakeholder communities in society, even as they went about pursuing gratifying and fulfilling careers as management professionals.
