The alumni community of Alliance University celebrated their accomplishments at the Alliance Alumni Reunion, 2012 held at the Central Campus of the University on August, 5 2012. The alumni reunion was attended by a large number of the ALLIANCE alumni, along with their families and friends. The Alliance Alumni Reunion, 2012 was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Alliance University, Dr. Madhukar Angur and in the presence of distinguished guests from industry, Mr. Satish Pradhan, Chief, Group Human Resources, Tata Sons Limited and Mr. Praveen Maheshwari, Chief Financial Officer, Hindalco. The Hon’ble Chancellor, Alliance University, Dr. Madhukar Angur while welcoming the ALLIANCE alumni, congratulated them on their professional successes, which have brought proud laurels to the University. The Hon’ble Chancellor also stated that the University looks up to its alumni as business leaders and exemplary social citizens who are ever willing to contribute to society at large. The Dean, Alliance School of Business, Dr. Anubha Singh, invited the alumni to stay connected with their alma mater and described the various programmatic initiatives planned for the ALLIANCE alumni by the University under the aegis of the Alliance Alumni Association. Mr. Satish Pradhan, Chief, Group Human Resources, Tata Sons Limited, addressed alumni and shared with them perspectives on the importance of higher education and subject-matter expertise in career advancement, the role of passion in achieving a sense of fulfillment in careers and the need for managers to go beyond prescribed roles to serve and contribute to the larger community, in enlightened ways. Mr. Praveen Maheshwari, Chief Financial Officer, Hindalco, who also addressed the alumni, underlined the importance of interpersonal relationships and team handling skills in organizations. The event concluded with alumni and faculty bonding over a splendid cultural evening.
